Coney Island (circa 1928)

The little girl wrapped in the towel on the beach in Coney Island is my grandmother (mom-mom), Margaretta “Pegge” Brittingham Hill.  The lady with her back turned in the swimsuit is my great grandmother Arabella.  These other ladies around are other family members.  I know it’s hard to see here since the image posts small, but the lady in the stripped dress wearing stockings and high heels in the sand is holding an old box camera.  I just think this shot is pretty magnificent.
