This self-portrait was taken today shortly after getting home from Jack having his meet and greet with his new kindergarten teacher. I was feeling the need for a photo to stamp this milestone. I think I’ve been feeling a little melancholy for the past few weeks, partly due to the anticipation of my last little one heading off to school.  It’s a big deal in my little world.
Hence the newly dark hair matching my insides at the moment. That’s how I roll.

Sweet picture with so much emotion. As a mother I understand wanting hold on tight to our little one’s youth, yet knowing that I wouldn’t have it any other way than to see their beauty of flight.
